Weekender: Patio Style

Spring is here! Fire up the grill and let's make margaritas.  But before we can mow down on burgers, we need a space to do so.  In comes Ikea and Ace Hardware to save me.  I'll show my patio when it is finished but here is my inspiration for it.

I feel like these basics will make the balcony feel homey and decorative.  Perfect decor to eat some juicy medium-rare meat.

Weekender: Current Obsessions

This shirt looks like the perfect weekend tee. It is currently sold out so I am trying to find something VERY similar.

I just purchased these so I can test drive the ear-jacket trend.  Loving it so far! A crazy amount of compliments and it makes an ordinary outfit feel a little.....bad ass.  Now I'm on the hunt to invest in a pair.  Nothing on Stella and Dot so I am currently perusing Bauble Bar and Etsy.
Now that the weather is changing, I want to spend as much time outside as possible.  The patio on our apartment is small but functional so I'm in the process of furnishing it so we can live out there until October.  This table cloth is a project on the top of my list.

My parents are coming to visit for lunch which means we HAVE to grill out.  One thing on the menu is this recipe for sweet potato fries. Yuuum.

Spring Work Attire

I am inside and out all day long for work so my wardrobe has to be versatile.  Now that Spring has arrived, I have found that light layers are the best.  My J. Crew Factory herringbone vest is my number one layering piece for the chilly mornings.  As the day goes on, I remove it and just use my trench.  It is professional and classy and allows me to feel a bit more stylish than normal.

I just bought the Columnist ankle pant from Express and they are perfect for my height.  I am on the shorter side so they hit just right.

Of course my RLL bag has been a staple for spring because it can store my peeled off layers and empty coffee mugs.

I don't have this exact trench shown.  I purchased mine a couple years ago from T.J. Maxx and it was the best investment I have ever had.  In fact, all of these pieces shows are the best investments I have ever made.
